Game overview
Bite by Night is asymmetric: a team of four Survivors plays against one player-controlled Killer. The round is a race against a clock that ticks toward 6:00 AM.
- -Survivors power all of the generators around the map. Each generator is a mini-puzzle that has to be completed to bring it online.
- -When the generators are powered, the Survivors can escape. Surviving to 6:00 AM is a Survivor win.
- -The Killer wins by eliminating all four Survivors before 6 AM.
Scraps are the game currency. You earn them by playing matches and spend them to unlock characters. There is no gacha, no box, and no luck involved, which is covered in the unlocks section below.
The three Killers
There is one Killer per match, chosen from three characters. The Rotten is free, and the other two are bought with Scraps.
The Rotten
KillerFreeSets a bear trap and throws an axe that causes bleed and slow. The default Killer and a solid pick to learn map pressure.
The Project
Killer4,500 ScrapsSwitches between Strength, Speed, and Stealth modes to adapt to the situation during a chase or patrol.
Ennard
Killer6,000 ScrapsSkin Stealer. Can disguise as an eliminated Survivor to catch the remaining team off guard.
The five Survivors
Four Survivors play in each match. The Customer is free, and the rest unlock with Scraps. Each Survivor has a kit built to buy time and keep the team on generators, not to fight the Killer head-on.
Customer

Medic
Survivor800 ScrapsHeals allies. The cheapest upgrade and a strong pick for keeping a squad alive.
Security Guard

Technician
Survivor1,600 ScrapsPhases through highlighted walls and drops a Static Mirage trap that slows the Killer. Passively speeds up generators.

How unlocks work - Scraps, not gacha
Every character in Bite by Night is bought with Scraps, the currency you earn by playing matches. The cost is fixed for each character, so unlocking is a straightforward save-and-buy: you always know exactly how many Scraps you need. There is no spin, no box, no gacha, and no drop rate to gamble against. Progress depends on time played and match performance, not luck.

A common first purchase is the Medic at 800 Scraps, the cheapest upgrade, which adds team healing on the Survivor side.
Codes
Codes grant Scraps. To redeem one, open Settings with the gear icon, scroll to the bottom, enter the code in the Code box, and press Redeem. Codes are case-sensitive, so type them exactly as shown. As of July 2026 there are no active codes, but the developers release them from time to time. The codes page keeps the current live list.
