How Scraps and unlocks work

Bite by Night is an asymmetric survival horror game: four survivors power generators and try to escape by 6 AM while one player-controlled killer hunts them. You earn Scraps by playing matches on either side, then spend them in the shop to unlock new characters at a fixed price. Unlike a lot of Roblox games, there is no gacha — you are never rolling for a random pull, so you can save toward the exact character you want.

Everyone starts with two free characters: The Rotten on the killer side and the Customer on the survivor side. From there, the cheapest survivor upgrade is the Medic at 800 Scraps, and the most expensive character in the game is Ennard at 6,000 Scraps. Full ability details for every character are on the all abilities database.

  • Phase (E · Active)While the mask is on, phases through a highlighted wall to slip out of the killer's line of sight.
  • Static Mirage (Mask off · Active)Drops a trap that applies Slowness and Dazed to the killer. One can be placed roughly every 20 seconds and each lasts about 20 seconds.
